Inside the numbers:

President Obama leads Romney by 23 points among unaffiliated voters and Santorum by 34 points among the same group.

Fifty-eight percent (58%) of California voters give the president's performance their approval. Just 40% disapprove. Those figures include 28% who Strongly Approve and 32% who Strongly Disapprove.
