Poll Watch: Rasmussen (R) Nevada 2012 Senatorial Survey

Survey of 500 Nevada voters was conducted March 19, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points.

Inside the numbers:
Heller leads by 23 points among male voters in Nevada but trails Berkley by four points among female voters. Younger voters prefer the Democrat, while the Republican leads by sizable double-digit margins among their elders.

Eighty-seven percent (87%) of the state’s Republicans support Heller, while Berkley earns 79% of the vote from Nevada Democrats. The incumbent leads by seven points – 42% to 35%% - among voters not affiliated with either major party.

Fifty-two percent (52%) of married voters prefer Heller. Fifty percent (50%) of unmarrieds support Berkley.

Twenty-three percent (23%) of Nevada voters view Heller very favorably, while 11% share a very unfavorable view of him. Berkley is seen very favorably by 13% and very unfavorably by 23%.
