Rasmussen (R) Wisconsin Governor Walker Recall Poll 

A special election will be held to see if voters want to recall Governor Scott Walker and remove him from office. If the special election were held today, would you vote to recall Governor Walker and remove him from office or would you vote against the recall and let him continue to serve as governor? 
  • Recall Governor Walker and remove him from office 52% (43%)
  • Vote against recall and let him continue to serve as governor 47% (54%)
How would you rate the job Scott Walker has been doing as governor? 
  • Strongly approve 42% (40%)
  • Somewhat approve 5% (12%
  • Somewhat disapprove 7% (6%)
  • Strongly disapprove 46% (40%)
Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted March 27, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points. Results from the poll conducted February 27, 2012 are in parentheses. 

Inside the numbers: 
Ninety percent (90%) of Democrats support Walker’s recall, as do 54% of voters not affiliated with either major party. Republicans (88%) overwhelmingly oppose the recall.

Wisconsin voters that earn less than $60,000 annually tend to favor the governor’s recall. A majority of those that make over that salary would vote against Walker’s recall.

Fifty-eight percent (58%) of unaffiliated voters in the state disapprove of Governor Walker’s performance, while 42% approve. Republicans overwhelmingly approve of Walker, while Democrats mostly disapprove.
