Rasmussen (R) Wisconsin Poll on Gov. Scott Walker

How would you rate the job Scott Walker has been doing as governor? 
  • Strongly approve 45% {42%} [42%] (40%)

  • Somewhat disapprove 8% {4%} [7%] (6%)
  • Strongly disapprove 39% {43%} [46%] (40%)
Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted June 12, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points. Results from the poll conducted May 9, 2012 are in curly brackets.  Results from the poll conducted March 27, 2012 are in square brackets.  Results from the poll conducted February 27, 2012 are in parentheses.

Inside the numbers:
Sixty percent (60%) of male voters like the job Walker is doing. Fifty-two percent (52%) of female voters do not. Voters under 40 are more critical of the governor than their elders.

Not surprisingly, Walker earns high approval from voters in the state who don't like public employee unions and high disapproval from pro-union voters.

Most Republicans (95%) approve of the job Walker is doing as governor, while 89% of Democrats disapprove. Among voters not affiliated with either political party, 55% approve and 45% disapprove.

Eighty-seven percent (87%) of Democrats have a favorable impression of public employee unions. Eighty-seven percent (87%) of GOP voters and 60% of unaffiliated voters regard those unions unfavorably.
