Sixty-six percent (66%) of Democrats say they are excited about this year’s matchup, while just 35% of Republicans and unaffiliated voters feel the same.

Twenty-six percent (26%) of Democrats believe Obama and Romney are the two best options, a view shared by 16% of Republicans and just eight percent (8%) of unaffiliated voters.

By comparison, 50% of unaffiliated voters agree with Romney and 48% disagree with him.

Twenty-seven percent (27%) of unaffiliated voters disagree with the president on just about everything, while 16% say the same about Romney.
