Seventy-six percent (76%) of Rhode Island Republicans support Robitaille, while 41% of the state’s Democrats back Caprio. Sixteen percent (16%) of GOP voters and 43% of Democrats favor Chafee. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 29% support the Independent, 38% the Republican and 15% the Democrat.

Chafee, a one-time Republican U.S. senator, draws 22% of the GOP vote and 34% of Democrats. Among voters not affiliated with either major political party, 38% back Chafee; 28% support Robitaille, and 14% favor Caprio.
