Inside the numbers:
Seventy-one percent of the poll’s 1,000 respondents said they either strongly approved or somewhat approved of the Governor’s performance. The Governor’s popularity cuts across party, ideology, and race. Sixty-one percent of Democrats approve of his performance, as do 66 percent of African-Americans, 61 percent of self-identified liberals, and 72 percent of moderates.

Inside the numbers:
Fifty-one percent (51%) of female respondents said they approved of Christie's job performance, as did 59 percent of male respondents.
Fifty-three percent (53%) of self-described moderates approve of Gov. Christie.
Eighty-four percent (84%) of self-described liberal voters said they approved of President Obama's job performance, as did 55 percent of self-described moderate voters.
