Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted May 16, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points. Results from the poll conducted March 5, 2012 are in parentheses.

Inside the numbers: 

Kerrey has the support of 79% of Nebraska Democrats, while 85% of the state’s Republicans favor Fischer. Voters not affiliated with either of the major parties prefer the Democrat by four points.

Fischer is viewed very favorably by 30% of Nebraska voters and very unfavorably by just seven percent (7%). Twenty-six percent (26%) share a very favorable opinion of Kerrey, but 31% regard him very unfavorably.
