Inside the numbers:
In the state’s Senate race, all three Republicans lead among male voters but trail among females. Younger voters generally prefer the Democrat, while their elders support the Republicans. Thompson, however, is ahead in all age demographics.
Voters not affiliated with either of the major parties prefer Thompson over Baldwin by better than two-to-one. Neumann is ahead among these voters by nine, but Baldwin leads Fitzgerald by 11 among unaffiliateds.
Baldwin is viewed Very Favorably by 23% of all voters in the state and Very Unfavorably by 30%.
Nineteen percent (19%) hold a very favorable opinion of Thompson, while 21% regard him very unfavorably. For Neumann, very favorables are 12%, very unfavorables 23%. Fitzgerald is seen very favorably by 13% and very unfavorably by 31%.
