Inside the numbers:
Eight-out-of-10 Michigan Republicans like both hopefuls for the party’s nomination. Stabenow earns slightly stronger support among Democrats in the state against Durant and Hoekstra. Both Republicans hold a slight lead among voters not affiliated with either of the major parties.
Twenty-six percent (26%) of Michigan voters share a very favorable opinion of Stabenow, while 27% view her very unfavorably. But just seven percent (7%) have no opinion of her.
Durant is seen very favorably by 11% and very unfavorably by 14%. Seventeen percent (17%) hold a very favorable view of Hoekstra, while 18% regard him very unfavorably. But roughly one-quarter of the state’s voters don’t know enough about either Republican to venture even a soft opinion of him.
