Survey of 531 registered voters was conducted April 7-10, 2011. The margin of error is +/- 4.3 percentage points. Party ID breakdown: 38% Democrat; 34% Republican; 28% Independent/Other. Political ideology: 34% Moderate; 27% Somewhat conservative; 18% Somewhat liberal; 14% Very conservative; 8% Very liberal.

Inside the numbers:
Those who know Libya’s geography are more likely to support the president’s action than anyone else, but still oppose it, 29-37. Voters who think the country is in the Middle East oppose, 26-44.
