Inside the numbers:
Kaine has the backing of 93% of the state's Democrats, while 85% of Virginia Republicans support Allen. Among voters in the state not affiliated with either major political party, the Republican leads by 13 points.

Twenty-five percent (25%) of Virginia voters view Allen very favorably, while nearly as many (23%) regard him very unfavorably. For Kaine, opinions are 23% very favorable, 30% very unfavorable. Kaine’s reviews are a bit more negative than they were earlier this month.
