Rasmussen (R) 2012 Daily Swing State Presidential Tracking Poll
Survey of approximately 1,300 likely voters was conducted August 20-26, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points. The swing state poll covers 11 key states: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. Results from the poll conducted August 19-25, 2012 are in parentheses.- Barack Obama 48% (46%)
- Mitt Romney 44% (45%)
- Some other candidate 3% (4%)
- Undecided 5% (5%)
Inside the numbers:
Eighty-seven percent (87%) of swing state Republicans are Romney supporters, while 82% of swing state Democrats will vote for the president. Among unaffiliated voters in these states, Obama leads 50% to 36%.
The president’s job approval in the swing states is currently 51%. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove.
