Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted August 15, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points.  Results from the poll conducted July 9, 2012 are in curly brackets.  Results from the poll conducted April 25, 2012 are in square brackets.  Results from the poll conducted March 13, 2012 are in parentheses.  Results from the poll conducted February 13, 2012 are in curly brackets.  Results from the poll conducted November 17, 2011 are in square brackets.
Inside the numbers:
Mack earns just 75% support from Florida Republicans, while Nelson has the support of 86% of the state’s Democrats. Nelson leads by six points among voters not affiliated with either of the major parties.

Mack leads 51% to 40% among voters 65 and older, but it’s the only age group in which he is ahead.

Mack has a slight lead among male voters but trails by double digits among female voters. Nelson is ahead among both married and unmarried voters.
