Survey of 500 likely New Mexico voters was conducted August 21, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points.  Results from the poll conducted April 3, 2012 are in square brackets.  Results from the poll conducted February 14, 2012 are in parentheses.

Inside the numbers:
Sixty-seven percent (67%) of New Mexico voters think that Obama is at least somewhat liberal, compared to 71% who view Romney as a conservative. But while 41% see Obama as very liberal, just 31% think Romney is very conservative.
