As in many other states, Romney's strongest support is among voters 65 and older. Younger voters here are more narrowly divided.
Both candidates earn more than 90% support from voters in their respective political parties. Among voters not affiliated with either of those parties, Romney holds a slight 43% to 39% advantage.
When Colorado voters are asked which candidate they trust more on five key issues in the race, Obama leads Romney by slight margins on health care, national security, taxes and energy policy. On the economy, the two candidates are tied at 46%.
