- Pete Hoekstra (R) 37% [40%] (39%)
- Some other candidate 3% [5%] (3%)
- Undecided 7% [9%] (10%)
Inside the numbers:
Each candidate draws strong support from their respective parties, but among voters not affiliated with either major political party, Stabenow leads 58% to 27%.
The Democrat also leads among male and female voters and is ahead among voters in all age demographics.
Fifty-six percent (56%) of Michigan voters share a favorable opinion of Stabenow, while 37% view her unfavorably. This includes Very Favorables of 23% and Very Unfavorables of 22%.
Hoekstra is seen favorably by 45% and unfavorably by 38%, including 14% with a Very Favorable opinion and 21% with a Very Unfavorable one. But 17% still do not know enough about the GOP candidate to venture even a soft opinion of him.
