The president holds a slight edge over Romney among both men and women. Among voters not affiliated with either political party in the state, Romney is ahead 48% to 38%.
Thirty-three percent (33%) of voters in the state believe the economy will get better if Romney wins the election and Republicans take control of Congress, compared to 30% who think that will happen if Obama and the Democrats are in charge. A plurality (41%) of Pennsylvania voters thinks the economy will get worse if Obama is reelected and Democrats control Congress. Thirty-four percent (34%) expect a worse economy if Romney and Republicans are in control.
