Inside the numbers:
Romney leads by six among male voters but trails by eight among female voters in the state. The Republican has a modest lead among voters over 65, but the president is slightly ahead among voters who are younger.
The candidates are separated by four points or less when voters in the state are asked who they trust more on several major policy issues. The two candidates run even when it comes to the economy, but the president is trusted more on the remaining issues, including health care, national security, taxes and energy policy.
