Inside the numbers:
Brown leads Mandel 49% to 42% among male voters in Ohio and 48% to 40% among female voters. The Democrat draws slightly more support from his own party than Mandel does from his fellow Republicans. Brown holds a 49% to 38% advantage among voters not affiliated with either political party.
