Inside the numbers:
Forty-nine percent (49%) of Montana voters have already voted at this point. Among those who have already cast their ballots, it’s Obama 49%, Romney 46%.
Ninety-seven percent (97%) of likely Montana voters are certain they will vote in this year’s presidential election. Romney leads 54% to 42% in this group.
Romney is ahead 48% to 41% among Montana voters not affiliated with either major political party.
Montana voters trust Romney more than Obama to handle the economy by a 52% to 42% margin. Romney has a 48% to 44% edge in voter trust when it comes to national security.
