Survey of 600 likely voter was conducted November 1, 2012. The
margin of error is +/- 4 percentage points. Results from the poll
conducted October 10-11, 2012 are in square brackets. Results from the poll
conducted July 31 - August 1, 2012 are in parentheses.
Inside the numbers:Twenty percent (20%) of likely Indiana voters have cast their ballots already, and Donnelly leads 48% to 42% among these voters.
Mourdock leads by 10 points among male voters but trails by 15 among female voters. However, 13% of both groups either prefer a third-party alternative or are undecided.
Donnelly has the support of 81% of Indiana Democrats and 11% of the state’s Republicans. Eighty-three percent (83%) of GOP voters back Mourdock. Among voters in Indiana not affiliated with either party, Donnelly leads 53% to 29%, but 19% of these voters favor another candidate or are undecided.
