Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted October 12, 2010.  The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points. Results from the poll conducted September 8, 2010 are in curly brackets.

Inside the numbers:
Burr has the support of 88% of North Carolina Republicans, while just 70% of the state’s Democrats back Marshall. The GOP candidate leads by two-to-one among voters not affiliated with either major party.
