Survey of 800 registered voters, including an oversample of likely voters from the 2nd Congressional District, was conducted October 23-25, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 3.5 percentage points among all registered voters; +/- 4.9 percentage points among registered voters in the 2nd Congressional District. Results from the poll conducted September 17-20, 2012 are in parentheses.
Inside the numbers: 
Obama and Romney were tied among women, with each candidate garnering 46 percent support. That was a change from September, when women had favored Romney, 49 percent to 42 percent.
Among men, Romney had nearly twice as much support last week as Obama — 59 percent to 31 percent. In fact, his lead among the state's male voters has increased significantly since the September poll.
