Inside the numbers:
Male voters are evenly divided between Gingrich and Obama. Among women, however, the president leads by 21 percentage points.
The president leads by a wide margin among voters under 40 and holds a very narrow advantage among those aged 40-64. Gingrich leads among senior citizens.
Obama holds a 14-point advantage among voters not affiliated with either major party.
