Survey of 600 likely voter was conducted October 10-11, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4 percentage points.  Results from the poll conducted July 31 - August 1, 2012 are in parentheses.
Inside the numbers:
Just 63% of all voters in Indiana are certain of their vote at this time. Of those voters, 54% prefer Mourdock, while 45% choose Donnelly.
Both candidates draw support from roughly 80% of voters in their own political parties. The race is a dead heat among voters who are not affiliated with either party.
While Mourdock leads Donnelly 54% to 39% among male voters in the Hoosier State, Donnelly holds a three-point edge among female voters.
