• Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan 47% [46%] {45%}

Survey of 816 likely voters was conducted October 17-20, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 3.43 percentage points.  Results from the poll conducted September 26-30, 2012 are in square brackets.  Results from the poll conducted September 12-16, 2012 are in curly brackets. 

Inside the numbers: 

Romney leads among men (53 percent to 43 percent), Obama is up with women (51 percent to 43 percent) and they are essentially tied among voters in the Midwest.
